Very excited about SVKWin32 build. Now doing some testing to see exactly how compatible svk is with svn clients.
ie. I (and my collaborators) want to be able to use pretty GUI tools most of the time, but I can cope if I just need to use svk to do the merging and synchronising.
Alas, it appears that the svn clients are not so compatible (see SVKFAQ). This means that I will have to use the command-line for most operations. I have yet to decide which kind of pain I prefer:
- learning to use svk command line + waiting for TortoiseSVK to arrive
- trying to work collaboratively on a single repository that is not always available, or
- dealing with the headache of merges between distributed svn repository 'copies'.
